Ken and I met at work and we've always gotten along, so it just seemed natural when we started talking on the phone. Our late night talks went on for months before we decided to start dating. This last September we took almost a month off and traveled through Europe. It was there that Ken proposed under the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. For those of you who don't know the story, let me share. Before we boarded our plane from SFO to London, England, I told Ken, "I know you have a ring for me, so if you want you can just give it to me now." The response I was given was NOT what I wanted to hear. He replied, "I don't have a ring and if I did, I wouldn't bring it because I wouldn't want it to get stolen." Needless to say I pouted (shocker) the whole flight to London. We spent a few days in London and then headed off to Paris, France. On one of our outings we made our way to the Eiffel Tower and found the perfect bench to sit on and admire the view. It was there that Ken got down on bended knee and asked me to marry him. Poor Ken, the first thing I did (with tears in my eyes) is smack his arm and say, "You lied to me. You do have a ring!" Then I started crying. He looked up at me with tears in his eyes and asked, "is that a yes?" Of course it was a YES! Now that all of you know my fairytale story, you also know that I will be marrying and spending the rest of my life with my best friend!!!
Our big day with be on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at four o'clock in the afternoon at the Geyserville Inn. It is an outdoor ceremony with adult reception to follow immediately. Dinner will be served, and of course, drinks and dancing. We can't wait to see all of you!
Dear Friends and Family, We are so looking forward to sharing our special day with you. We have both agreed we have too much stuff, so we thought a fabulous honeymoon trip would be the best type of registry. Our big day will be here before we know it and we can't wait to see you all before we jet off to Maui! Ken and I are so blessed to have friends and family like you who love us and who are there for us. Looking foward to spending time with all of you! Mahalo!
Love, Pam and Ken
