The first time Tifani and AJ met was a handshake on the Winsor Green and a "ya done good," from Tifani after AJ was in a performance with one of her best friends in 2006. In March of 2007 it was Tifani's turn to be the performer, and AJ was properly introduced to her as the House manager. It wasn't until October or 2007 that their lives were forever changed and they became an "us".
They were both fixtures in the Santa Rosa Junior College Theatre Department. He was better known for his work behind the scenes while she had more experience on that particular stage. While Tifani took a turn working back-stage for a change AJ was introducing a friend to the art of house management. As they were crossing paths they began to speak to each other on occasion and became acquaintances. One day while they were standing in the theatre lobby with a group of friends they found a cell phone which was identified by Tifani because it belonged to a friend with a phone identical to hers. AJ asked to see the phone so he could compare, and after confirming it gave the phone back to Tifani. She then realized she didn't have his number and after the request was spoken. He opened the phone to reveal he had already put his number in. Tifani was impressed. Very impressed. As she was watching him the entire time he had her phone she couldn't see how he could have done it without her knowledge. A few moments later Tifani got a phone call and stepped outside. The person on the phone was inquiring after a start-date for her new job, and she said, " I haven't got a date yet." At that moment AJ came out and hearing the "predicament" exclaimed, "I'll do it! I'll be your date! Whatever it is, I'll do it!"
Tifani smiled and laughed and went back to her phone call. When it was finished she was standing at the top of the steps to the theatre, and AJ was at the bottom. He looked up at her as he walked away and said, "so, I don't have your number and you have mine, so if we're going to go on that date you need to give me a call." Tifani was hooked. He gave her a laugh and a smile...
...and a year later they stood on those very steps again as AJ put a ring on Tifani's finger and asked her to be his wife.
