We have known and liked one another for almost 13 years now. We met when Tom transferred into Rancho Cotate where Lizz was going to school. We became good friends and have worked hard to maintain that friendship through the years. We then both got hired at the movie theater in Rohnert park and became coworkers as well as friends. We drifted apart for several years but kept tabs on each other through mutual friends and acquaintances. When Lizz got divorced and moved back home to Sonoma county, we made sure to get back in touch and became roommates. We opted to share a room together for the amazing reason that it would be more comfortable to date others if we shared a room, rather than either of us share with our other roommate, Lizz's mom. Sharing a room we drew closer together staying up talking long into the night. Tommy drove Lizz to work and school every day and we talked on the drives, then he started walking Lizz into work and people started noticing that his arm was always around Lizz's shoulders and hers around his waist. We never parted without a hug and we lit up when we got to see eachother again. Soon everyone was asking if we were dating. The answer was always no, but we'd talk later and started asking ourselves. It kind of felt like we were dating. Neither of us was interested in being with anyone else anymore, we had eachother. We worried about the friendship and what damage dating might do to it if things didn't work, so we sat again for more long talks. We decided that the friendship was more important than dating. We loved eachother and couldn't lose that friendship. The next night Tommy after doing some thinking sent Lizz a text while she was taking a bath, saying" So do you want to go out with me, because I really want to go out with you." After more long talks we agreed to give it a try as long as the friendship remained our number one priority and if things started to go bad we would stop dating and work on the friendship. Boy were we scared of what the future might bring. Turned out there was nothing to be afraid of. We are perfect together. We have the right blend of respect and teasing, being attentive yet giving space, listening and talking, and above all we love eachother more than we love ourselves. And we love ourselves more when we are around each other. We balance one another out and bring out the best in each of us.

Our wedding will be held on October 4th 2009. We chose this date because we wanted to have our wedding on a night with a full moon, most weddings should be held on weekends for guests convenience and We wanted a wedding in the spring or fall. Those 3 parts narrowed it down to approximately three dates out of the year. Our colors will be black, silver and blue. For our wedding party we have so far: Vicky Kahn as maid of honor, Ogre as the best man, Marshall Jennings as a groomsman, Ogre's nephew as a junior groomsman, Lizz's niece Autumn as a junior bridesmaid, Lizz's niece Areianna as a flower girl. These are the only people who have agreed to be there and play a part. We have several people in mind for other positions, depending on there availability and support.

For now we are hoping to have our honeymoon in Hawaii. Please help us have enough money to make the honeymoon nice so we won't feel so guilty about taking the time off work to celebrate our marriage.
