We met while attending Humboldt State University. We were friends and spent a lot of time drinking coffee at the 24hr Denny's and working on our English papers. I went to school in Massachusetts the following year and we kept in touch. Over endless hours of talking on the phone, we fell in love and have been together ever since.
The ceremony and reception will be held at the Lake Mendocino Clubhouse in Ukiah, Ca. It will be an informal affair filled with fun, relaxation, lots of good food! There is a lot of shade at the venue, but dress for it being a warm day. Polos and Hawiian shirts are all acceptable. Again, this is an informal affair and we want you to all be comfortable.

Driving directions from Ukiah: Head north on 101. Take the Lake Mendocino Drive exit. Turn left (north) onto N State St. Turn right (east?) onto Lake Mendocino Drive, Turn left in to the Clubhouse complex.
Ukiah is a couple of hours north of San Francisco on Hwy 101.
If you need to fly into the area, Santa Rosa Airport does have some direct flights from LA and Seattle. Otherwise, SFO, Oakland, or Sacramento are the closest airports.
Hotels: I have reserved some rooms at the Hampton Inn at a discounted rate. They have Double Queen Rooms and Jaccuzi Suites (with only one king bed). Ask for the Hicks & Crane Wedding Group when booking! They also offer a full breakfast in the morning, is near Starbucks (for the coffee addicts), Applebees, and Mi Pueblito. There is a car show in town, so several of the hotels are booked full. I will try to reserve a block of rooms at another hotel, just in case. Some other places to stay in town are Comfort Inn, Fairfield Inn, Discover Inn, and Vichey Springs.
Restaurants: Applebee's (Bar & Grill), China Chef (Chinese), Star's (Diner food), BlueBird Cafe (Diner food), Himalayan Cafe (Indian), Mi Pueblito (Mexican).
Things to Do: Hiking, Sun House, Geocaching, Golf, play in Lake Mendocino.
There will be a classic car show on Saturday, 10am-4pm. The cars are set up on School Street.
If you are in town on Friday night, there will be Movie in the Park at Alex R Thomas square. Movie starts at dark. They will be playing Ratatoille.
